About the role

This full-time Sales Assistant role at Barossa 4x4 and Outdoors' in Greenock, SA offers an excellent opportunity to join a leading outdoor and automotive accessories retailer. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales for a wide range of products across the store.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Demonstrating product features and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
  3. Actively promoting and cross-selling relevant products to maximise sales opportunities
  4. Maintaining a well-presented and organised store to create a positive shopping experience
  5. Restocking, reordering and replenishing shelves as needed
  6. Data entry and job quoting
  7. Entering invoices and answering emails

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the outdoor or automotive accessories industry
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service
  3. Demonstrated sales skills and a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  4. A keen interest in outdoor activities and a good understanding of automotive accessories and equipment
  5. Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  6. A positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude
  7. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
