About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Front of House / Assistant Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about Japanese cuisine and customer service, who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment.

You will work closely with the Store Manager and Head Chef to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high service standards, and lead the FOH team by example.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience for every guest
  • Lead, train, and motivate the Front of House team
  • Manage reservations, floor service, and customer flow
  • Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Support stock ordering, inventory checks, and supplier coordination
  • Assist in rostering and staff performance management
  • Uphold hygiene, safety, and service standards in line with company policy
  • Act as the point of contact for customer feedback and operational improvements

About You

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a similar role (Assistant Manager or Supervisor preferred)
  • Passionate about Japanese food and culture
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive team player with a hands-on attitude
  • Current RSA certificate (essential)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
