About the role

Pats Panel Repairs is seeking a full-time Qualified Automotive Spray Painter to join our team in Mackay, QLD. As a Qualified Automotive Spray Painter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring they are restored to their original condition.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning
  2. Mixing and applying automotive paint to vehicles, ensuring a smooth and even finish
  3. Performing touch-ups and detail work to ensure a seamless and professional look
  4. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  5. Following all safety protocols and procedures
  6. Collaborating with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects

What we're looking for

  1. A valid Automotive Spray Painting qualification.
  2. Proven experience in the automotive spray painting industry, preferably in a panel repair or similar setting
  3. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  4. Proficient in the use of spray painting equipment and techniques
  5. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  7. Good communication
  8. Forklift Licence (not a must)
