Sydney Showground is a world-class venue, delivering close to 150 national and international events each year, including music festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, trade shows and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the flagship event of the RAS and the nation's largest annual ticketed event.

About the Role…

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our Sydney Showground Team

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day F&B operations, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional experience. You will work closely with the kitchen team, bar staff, and front-of-house staff to ensure that all F&B aspects of the event are running smoothly. You will also be responsible for the administration pre & post the event, including resource allocation.

This role would suit an experienced F&B Duty Manager, or F&B Supervisor with a willingness to learn and looking to take the next step in their career Either way, we guarantee Sydney Showground is a place for you to grow your skills and experience across a diverse range of events

About you…

You will be a hospitality superstar who prides themselves on exemplary leadership, and logistical operations, but creative enough to think outside the box.

You will also have:

  • The ability to adapt quickly and innovatively to the dynamics of large scale events
  • Stamina to walk around a large site
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • A positive 'can do' attitude who takes pride in doing an excellent job
  • Intermediate skills in event management systems
  • Current RSA certificate - essential
  • Current NSW drivers license - essential

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) organises events, and competitions, acts as a guardian for the state's agricultural heritage, celebrates Australia's achievements in agriculture and works to promote the viability of rural communities by ensuring that Australia remains a thriving and innovative agricultural producer.

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
