About the opportunity

An exciting and important opportunity has arisen within the Environment and Sustainability function of Thomas Foods International. The Environmental Advisor role will drive a positive environmental culture and ensure that all environmental obligations and requirements are performed on time and to a high standard. This position is within the national Environmental and Sustainability team and reports direct to Plant Managers with a functional report into the Group Environment and Sustainability Manager.

• 90-100k + 11.5% super

Just like our best cuts of meat, there are a few essential qualities that we need and look for in this role:

• Tertiary qualified in environmental management/science, sustainability, engineering, waste management.

• Driver's Licence

• 1-2 years of experience & be dedicated, self-motivated & reliable.

About the Job & Work Performed

• Ensure licensed activities undertaken at the plant is managed in accordance with regulatory & government legislation framework;

• Conduct monthly environmental site inspections & annual audits for all licensed activities;

• Monitor, manage & report on all environmental KPIs – energy, waste, complaints, water;

• Contribute to ongoing environmental reporting commitments & associated deadlines covering;

• Oversee NATA groundwater, wastewater & treated effluent monitoring, sampling, data entry & reporting;

• Develop & maintain strong regulatory relationships across all levels of Government;
