Salary: $77,000 per annum (plus super)

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Residential Care Worker to provide day-to-day care and supervision for children and/or people with disabilities in a group housing or institutional care setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting residents' emotional, physical, and developmental needs while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the nature and extent of residents' challenges and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress reports and daily notes.
  • Develop and implement support programs for residents.
  • Monitor the safety and well-being of the clients and report any concerns to the Manager.
  • Communicate with and provide support to residents and families
  • Work with community welfare agencies, other organisations and other staff on day-to-day and other matters related to residents' safety and well-being as necessary.
  • Participate in performance development discussions to identify training opportunities.
  • Work with third-party organisations to spread awareness of community resources and services.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in the disability or aged care sector.
  • Strong understanding of disability- and age-related health concerns.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and respond flexibly to client needs.
  • Respect for cultural, spiritual, and personal values of clients and their families.
