An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Extrusion Operator in Martogg's state of the art PET recycling plant that is providing food grade circular solutions for the reprocessing of post-consumer waste in Australia.  Ideally suited to someone who possesses good interpersonal and communication skills and can confidently work under minimal guidance.

The Role

This person will be a member of an efficient and productive manufacturing team, which ensures outcomes are achieved in the timeliest and cost-effective manner.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a solid work ethic and ideally have a level of knowledge in polymers.  Although not mandatory, a background in materials recycling, compounding of plastics or milling of polymer powders would be considered advantageous.

The role is for set shifts working a standard 38-hour week.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Ensure plant and machinery is operated to stated procedures and standards.
  2. Manufacture product to the specified quality.
  3. Responsible for the equipment and area which has been assigned for the work period.
  4. Play an active role in progressing the organisation for the future.
  5. Ensure plant and area is maintained at agreed standards.
  6. Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to

The Individual:

  1. Must have a "can do"attitude with flexibility
  2. Perform duties in a workman like manner.
  3. Share in the responsibility of the overall work site.
  4. Participate in relevant training development and skills progression for self.
  5. Have good communication and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to attain the skills for a Forklift License.
  7. Understand process control with particular emphasis on reduction of waste and maximising output.
