About Your Role

• Lead your room's high-quality, play-based learning program (EYLF/QKLG-aligned).
• Build strong, caring relationships with children and families.
• Mentor educators and create an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment.
• Step up as Responsible Person and assist with centre operations in the Director's absence.
• Support the Centre Director with admin tasks like rostering, enrolments, and parent communication.
• Learn and grow under the guidance of a passionate, experienced Director with 15 years in the sector.
• Designated non-contact time for your 2IC responsibilities, in addition to your contact time as Lead Educator.

About You:

• A collaborative and caring attitude and commitment to quality early learning
• Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education
• Experience leading a room and developing engaging, play-based programs
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, QKLG, NQF, and current early childhood practices
• Ability to guide children's behaviour with care and empathy
• Confident with compliance, documentation, and quality standards
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills with families, children, and team members
• Competent computer skills (including Microsoft Office and relevant childcare software)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
