The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and solution-focused individual to join our Estimating team. This is a pivotal role within the business, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys building strong client relationships.

Your role will involve working across a diverse range of construction methodologies and materials, engaging directly with both new and existing clients. You'll play a key role in converting enquiries into successful projects, contributing to our expanding portfolio and long-standing client base.

About You

You are a confident communicator with a strong background in estimating and sales within the commercial or civil construction industries. You bring a proactive, go-getter attitude and are committed to delivering excellent outcomes for both the business and our clients. Building trust and fostering lasting relationships is second nature to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend site inspections, review plans, and prepare accurate take-offs and costings
• Develop and document construction and civil methodologies
• Assist in pricing variations throughout project delivery
• Liaise with clients, designers, suppliers, and internal teams to compile competitive estimates
• Identify cost trends and provide insights to management
• Prepare handovers for awarded projects and collaborate with project teams
• Partner with the sales team to improve conversion rates and project acquisition
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 4 years' experience in estimating within the construction or civil sector
• Demonstrated commercial experience in quoting and tendering
• Proven ability to establish and nurture long-term client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving
