About the Role:

We are seeking experienced drivers to cover our Griffith - VIC runs. With a focus on safety, service, innovation, and growth, Velocity Global offers a dynamic work environment, competitive rates, and modern fleet vehicles equipped with advanced technology such as GPS tracking and Guardian Seeing Eye.

Both day and night shifts are available, with weekly pay and opportunities for long-term growth within a fast-paced, well-established company. Experience in refrigerated transport and food logistics is important.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is fit for safe operation.
  • Transport refrigerated goods across local and interstate routes, maintaining temperature control throughout the journey.
  • Conduct multiple deliveries (multidrop) as required, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods, following company guidelines for safe handling.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, such as proof of delivery (POD) and pallet transfer documentation.
  • Adhere to fatigue management regulations and vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and report on vehicle performance, including fuel usage and temperature control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and fellow employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures during operations

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Current HC License with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Proven experience in refrigerated transport and food logistics.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts.
  • Strong understanding of Fatigue and Mass Management regulations.
  • Ability to follow company policies, including conducting daily vehicle and equipment checks.
  • Solid customer service skills, taking pride in delivering excellent service.
  • A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to accurately complete paperwork.
  • Own transportation to and from work.

Key Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Be well-presented, safety-focused, and customer-oriented.

To be successful for this role applicants must:

  • Good communication skills including reading and writing.
  • Good understanding of Fatigue and Mass Management.
  • Hold a current HC license with 2 years minimum driving experience.
  • Have previous experience in transportation of refrigeration goods.
  • Be able to work shift work including weekends as required.
  • Have solid customer service capability.
  • Have own means of getting to work and home.
