MC Truck Driver – General Freight (Tumut – Sydney Linehaul)

Location: Tumut, NSW

Schedule: 5 Trips per Fortnight

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

We are seeking a reliable and professional MC Driver to join our family-owned transport business, operating modern, well-maintained tautliner trailers between Tumut and Sydney. This position offers steady, regular work and an excellent work/life balance.

Duties include:

  • Driving modern, well-maintained prime movers and tautliner trailers
  • Loading and unloading freight
  • Ensuring proper load restraint and freight security
  • Conducting pre-trip inspections and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Completing required paperwork, manifests, and records accurately

Must Have:

  • Current MC licence (will consider capable HC drivers willing to upgrade – assistance provided)
  • National Police Background Check
  • Current Fit-for-Driving Medical and Pre-Employment Medical Assessment (assistance available)
  • Current Driving History Check
  • Strong English communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and professionalism
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Australian work rights required for this position

Desirable

  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain (assistance provided)
  • Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation or willingness to obtain
