Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Yard Person & HC Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting prefabricated timber frames & trusses, waste products, and assisting in our yard.

This position will start on a casual basis. 1-5 days per week at approximately 8-9.5 hours per shift. Full time position available to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate machinery and equipment.
  • Timber/manual handling
  • Safely operate and drive company trucks to transport products to designated location.
  • Plan efficient routes to minimise delivery time and fuel consumption, while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues or concerns.

Pay: From $32.60 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Experience:

  • Truck driving: 1 year (Required)

Licence/Certification:

  • HC Licence (Required)
  • Forklift Licence (Preferred)
