Expression of Interest: Operations Controller

Territory Air Services is a family-owned and operated air charter company based in the Northern Territory. We operate a diverse fleet across the NT and into parts of Western Australia and Queensland. Our services include private and freight charters, contractor and passenger transport, NT Government flights, and more.

We're currently seeking expressions of interest for an Operations Controller to join our close-knit team on a fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension.

About the Role

The Operations Controller plays a key part in supporting the daily operations of our business. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responding to phone and email enquiries, including providing quotes
  • Assisting with passenger check-ins
  • Providing ETAs for flights
  • Supporting the day-to-day business operations
  • Ability to share on-call mobile for after-hours on a rotating roster
  • Scheduling and allocating flights using the AirMaestro system
  • Coordinating aircraft maintenance schedules
  • Managing pilot rosters
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • A friendly, approachable personality

Familiarity with Northern Territory geography and experience in aviation or related fields is highly desirable, but not essential — training will be provided for the right candidate.
