We focus on depth over volume and back our ability to support clients properly rather than chasing growth that cannot be serviced well.

As our blue-collar business continues to gain momentum, and with a senior recruiter relocating overseas mid-year, this is an opportunity to step into a stable platform and help take the division forward.

About the role

This is a senior role offering both security and genuine opportunity. You will take ownership of an established portfolio of mining owner clients and continue to build on strong foundations already in place.

The desk is warm and well supported, but it suits someone who wants to actively develop capability. This includes strengthening relationships, improving sourcing approaches and lifting delivery standards rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

You will also play a role in mentoring and supporting other recruiters as the team grows, helping shape how the blue-collar function operates. There is scope to support business development where it makes sense, but success in this role comes from outstanding delivery and strong client relationships.

By way of context, the recruiter handing this desk over has more than doubled their earnings over the past 12 months through consistent delivery, relationship development and proactive desk management.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of relationships with established mining owner clients
  • End-to-end recruitment of metropolitan and FIFO trades and mobile and fixed plant operators
  • Maintain and strengthen a high-quality contractor base
  • Take an active interest in understanding the roles you recruit for and the environments they operate in
  • Proactively improve sourcing methods and database capability
  • Mentor and support recruiters within the blue-collar team

About you

  • Extensive experience recruiting blue-collar roles
  • Ambitious and motivated to build something beyond what already exists
  • Interested in shaping and leading a division, while demonstrating strong capability running and growing a desk
  • Takes the time to understand roles, sites and skillsets rather than relying on keyword matching
  • Strong relationship builder with clients and workforce alike
  • Commercially aware, organised and self-driven

Remuneration

  • Base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 plus super (Senior - Lead Range)
  • Percentage of margin commission with no threshold

  • Flexible structure by agreement

  • Higher base with lower commission, or

  • Lower base with higher commission
