About the Role

"Join our Hawthorn team as a Stock Controller, where your organisation skills will help keep our inventory accurate and our store looking its best."

This hands-on role is focused on receiving deliveries, managing back-of-house operations, and ensuring timely and efficient stock replenishment to the shop floor. You'll also play a key role in liaising with internal drivers to coordinate store transfers and ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

You'll be instrumental in driving stock accuracy, minimising loss, and maintaining strong inventory controls across the store.

This is a Part-time role - Tuesday to Friday working between 7:30am – 5:00pm. 30+ hours per week.

Only applicants with demonstrated experience in this type of role will be considered.

What we're looking for:

  • 2–3 years' experience in a supermarket or retail stock control environment
  • A passion for organisation and back-of-house efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles, including shrinkage, stock turns, and margins
  • Effective communication skills—both verbal and written
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to coach others on replenishment and stock movement processes

What you'll be doing:

  • Receiving and processing incoming stock using PDE scanners
  • Raising credit claims and following up on outstanding invoices with suppliers
  • Liaising with Leaf delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate store transfers and customer order fulfilment
  • Ensuring efficient replenishment of stock to the shop floor
  • Monitoring shelf presentation and ensuring all products are correctly ticketed and merchandised
  • Supporting and training team members in effective stock handling and replenishment procedures
