Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Content Director to lead the strategic development, production, and performance of our digital content across multiple platforms. This role requires both creative vision and hands-on execution skills, including shooting and basic video editing. Candidates with a strong understanding of short-form video content in the education, business, and knowledge-based sectors are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall social media account strategy and content roadmap.
  • Build and grow accounts from concept to scale (0-1 and 1-100 growth experience).
  • Analyze short-video performance metrics and audience insights to continuously optimize content.
  • Plan and produce content that aligns with user needs in education, business, and knowledge monetization categories — including persona development, topic ideation, scriptwriting, on-set coordination, and editing supervision.
  • Create ad materials for Douyin Qianchuan, Information Flow Ads, and WeChat Channels, focusing on improving conversion and engagement rates.
  • Collaborate with production and editing teams to ensure high-quality creative output.
  • Research and analyze trending topics, competitor content, and viral formats to inform ongoing creative iterations.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables while maintaining consistent content quality and brand alignment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Media, Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a content director, creative producer, or short-form video planner.
  • Heavy user of short-video platforms such as Douyin(China's version of TikTok), Kuaishou, Xiaohongshu(Rednote), and WeChat Channels, with a deep understanding of platform algorithms and audience behavior.
  • Strong creative sense, storytelling ability, and excellent writing skills.
  • High level of professionalism, ability to work under pressure, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in shooting and basic video editing (essential).
  • Demonstrated methodology for persona-based short-video creation preferred.
  • Experience in e-commerce, education content, Qianchuan advertising, or MCN operations is highly regarded.
