About the role

We are seeking a driven and experience Service Manager, Youth Justice to lead a high-impact service, supporting young people involved in the youth justice system. This key leadership role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and their families by guiding a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and driving continuous improvement.

This service supports young people and their families, kin, or caregivers during a young person's time in Youth Detention, during transition and in community. The program provides opportunities for young people to address offending behaviours, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to become responsible and engaged community members. This is achieved through mentoring relationships, targeted interventions, structured programs, and close collaboration with Youth Justice.

The Service Manager, Youth Justice will work in partnership with the Group Manager to provide strong leadership and guidance across the service. This role is accountable for ensuring high-quality service delivery and fostering a client-centred culture.

This role will be responsible for overseeing operations within North Brisbane (including Caboolture and Redcliffe), South Brisbane (including Redlands) and the Sunshine Coast region.

About you

You are a values driven leader with a passion for working with young people and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those in the youth justice system. You're confident managing operations, people, and compliance in a dynamic service environment.

Key areas of responsibility include

  • Leading and supporting staff in alignment with organisational values and practice frameworks.
  • Overseeing business performance, financial management, and human resources.
  • Ensuring quality care governance, contractual compliance, and risk management.
  • Driving continuous improvement to enhance outcomes for young people and their families.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Youth Justice service.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders including Youth Justice, funding bodies, community partners, and internal teams.
  • Drive service innovation and improvement, ensuring best practice and evidence-based models of care.

Required Credentials and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Experience and background within a leadership position
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check, QLD)
  • Current LCS (Licensed Care Service)
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence
