ARA Electrical has a long and proud history focusing on delivering turnkey Electrical Solutions across Australia for large-scale Industrial, government and commercial clients.

ARA Electrical are seeking Expressions of Interest for Construction Electricians to join our team for our Nowra and Wollongong Operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Current Electrical Licence, be highly motivated and experienced with working on Industrial Projects and possess a strong understanding of relevant safe work practices. If you are a dedicated Electrician looking to contribute to a complex industrial project, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do

  • Cable Ladder Installation
  • LV Cable Installation
  • LV Cable Terminations
  • Quality Assurance Testing and Commissioning
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records

To be considered for this role you will be required to demonstrate the following skills and experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years' Experience
  • Understanding of relevant AS/NZ/ISO standards and New South Wales Electrical Industry legislation
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work Health & Safety, Quality Management and Environmental principles

All applicants must have the following competencies and qualifications

  • Current NSW Electrical Licence
  • Workcover Construction Induction NSW (White Card)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Working Safely At Heights (Advantageous, not essential)
  • Scissor Lift / Yellow Card (Advantageous, not essential)
  • CPR LV Certificate (Advantageous, not essential)
  • National Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Advantageous, not essential)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willing to work Overtime
