Project Engineer

Harry Maxwell has been engaged by a well-known construction company that provides complex, multi-disciplinary project delivery across the infrastructure, resources, and renewable energy sectors.

We are looking for Project Engineers to support the delivery of non-process infrastructure packages for mining clients in the Pilbara region. This role spans the full project lifecycle from early planning and feasibility to technical execution and site delivery.

To be successful in the role you will need a blend of technical civil engineering expertise, mining infrastructure experience, strong safety focus, and proven project delivery skills.

About the Role.

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery across civil infrastructure scopes.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Support the construction of non‑process infrastructure (NPI), ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Monitor progress, budgets, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Interface with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and review documentation including scopes of work, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements.

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in heavy civil projects, ideally in the Pilbara.
  • Strong contractor-side experience with a hands-on approach to site coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple work fronts and interface with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full rights to work in Australia, current Australian Driver's License, ability to pass a medical, and a National Police Clearance.
