Jandakot Airport Holdings is seeking to employ a friendly, reliable and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator with strong interpersonal and communication skills in a key supporting role at the airport.

Reporting to and assisting the Safety Manager, this position offers full time with the potential for a part time working arrangement, flexible hours and a friendly, rewarding work environment for the right candidate.

The position offers exposure to a wide variety of safety management disciplines, with the primary focus being the day-to-day management and coordination of the airport's safety management system, training and internal/external safety auditing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily SMS coordination activities, reporting, and investigations
  • Support internal and external safety audits and risk management activities
  • Schedule training and facilitate training courses
  • Maintain training records, safety records, and staff/contractor inductions
  • Promote a positive safety culture and support emergency preparedness
  • Ensure compliance with CASA, WHS WA, and other relevant regulations

About You

  • Qualification in WHS
  • Experience with safety or risk management systems (aviation preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and report writing
  • Current driver's licence and ability to pass CASA Part 99 drug & alcohol screening and pre-employment medical

Desirable:

  • Auditing or Lead Auditor qualification/experience
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or willing to obtain)
  • Technical aviation background
  • Fire Warden or First Aid training (or willing to obtain).
