About the team

The Chief Procurement Office provides expert advice, strategic direction, and procurement solutions to deliver the Council Plan and drive impactful service outcomes across the city. We deliver procurement across a wide range of portfolios, including critical infrastructure, services, and goods for our community. About your new role

As a Senior Sourcing Officer, you'll be a key contributor to high-impact procurement projects across various categories, including Goods and Services, ICT, Maintenance and Operations, and Capital Works.

In this role, you will:

• Support a small team (0–3 indirect reports), fostering collaboration and growth

• Lead and assist with category planning, sourcing strategies, and end-to-end procurement activities

• Manage high-risk, complex projects including tender development, evaluations, and negotiations

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver effective outcomes

• Conduct market analysis and ensure accurate procurement data and documentation across systems (SAP, Open Windows, SharePoint)

• Contribute to mentoring, training, and pipeline planning

This role requires strong sourcing and procurement experience, ideally with exposure to government processes.
