Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a horticultural team to ensure safe and efficient task completion
  • Oversee daily workflows, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance
  • Operate mowers, brush cutters, blowers, and other horticultural tools safely
  • Perform and supervise planting, mulching, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and pest control
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and WHS compliance
  • Complete and review site paperwork including pre-starts, reports, and SWMS
  • Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain a professional site presence
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems and related infrastructure
  • Monitor plant and soil health and apply treatments or amendments as required
  • Assist with seasonal planting programs and minor landscape updates
  • Train, mentor, and support team members and apprentices on-site
  • Enforce WHS procedures and promote a safety-first culture across the team
  • Report site progress, issues, and resource requirements to management
  • Coordinate subcontractors and contractors to ensure work aligns with site plans
  • Ensure equipment, tools, and vehicles are maintained, serviced, and stored correctly

What will you need

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Advantageous)
  • Driver's licence (Manual or Automatic)
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
