Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a horticultural team to ensure safe and efficient task completion
- Oversee daily workflows, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance
- Operate mowers, brush cutters, blowers, and other horticultural tools safely
- Perform and supervise planting, mulching, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and pest control
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and WHS compliance
- Complete and review site paperwork including pre-starts, reports, and SWMS
- Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain a professional site presence
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems and related infrastructure
- Monitor plant and soil health and apply treatments or amendments as required
- Assist with seasonal planting programs and minor landscape updates
- Train, mentor, and support team members and apprentices on-site
- Enforce WHS procedures and promote a safety-first culture across the team
- Report site progress, issues, and resource requirements to management
- Coordinate subcontractors and contractors to ensure work aligns with site plans
- Ensure equipment, tools, and vehicles are maintained, serviced, and stored correctly
What will you need
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Advantageous)
- Driver's licence (Manual or Automatic)
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
