Contract type: Casual (2 positions available)

About the role:

This position is field-based and involves working as part of our local restoration teams. The successful applicant will deliver bush regeneration and revegetation projects. Activities will include herbicide application, manual weed work, erosion control and revegetation.

Essential Criteria 

Only candidates that meet the criteria will be considered for this role.

• Minimum 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent voluntary experience 
• Physically fit, motivated and capable of working in challenging outdoor environments
• Good communicator, effective at working independently and as part of a team 
• Understanding and ability to follow WHS policies and procedures
• Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment 
• Proven experience working with weed control, bushland maintenance and bush regeneration and native plant identification relevant to Bairnsdale and East Gippsland

Licensing and Checks (Preferred/Willing to obtain):

• Current Driving License
• Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card) or willing to get
• Police Check
• Blue Card/ Working with Children's Check (Where applicable)
• Qualifications in Conservation and Ecosystem management/ OR higher education
• ACUP or Chemcert qualified
• White card- Construction industry OH&S
• Supervisory experience will be highly regarded
