DESIGN ENGINEER

BAUER KOMPRESSOREN Australia Pty Ltd, is firmly established as a Global leading manufacturer of High Pressure Compressors and Purification systems, with a reputation for providing excellent customer service.

We have a position available for a Lead Design Engineer to work in our Engineering department with Development Products and Install works throughout Australia/New Zealand &South Pacific, based at BAUER Australia Head Office in Wetherill Park NSW, Australia.

We would like to hear from applicants with Design Engineering Experience, where a focus on designing and supplying high quality industrial products and project-based site installation works.

Providing support to the sales personnel by means of responding to internal and external customer enquiries and selecting suitable equipment and preparing quotations and tenders responses accordingly.

Also with supervising workshop and field personnel in executing packaging and install works.

Key requirements:

  • Mechanical or Mechatronics degree qualifications
  • Ideally have industrial design experience
  • Proficient in Creo Parametric (Pro Engineer ) or AutoCAD Inventor - 3D
  • Proficient in AutoCAD LT - 2D
  • Proficient in using MS Office: Word, Excel and Project.
  • Be a team player with good communication skills
  • Experience running projects and working autonomously
  • Support the sales and ensure excellent communication exists with relationships between end-users and key distributors.
  • Skills in supervising and co-ordinating production workshop packaging works
  • Design detail
  • Equipment selection
  • Development of Site plans
  • Process & instrument diagrams
  • Detail assembly drawings
  • Production drawings and assembly manuals
  • Preparing Bill of materials
  • Manufacturing and project support supervision
  • Site visits
  • Minimum 2-3 work experience
  • Understanding of PLC control systems and automation control.

Teamwork is essential, although the ability to work autonomously is expected. Excellent communication skills, a mature, hands-on and self-motivated work ethic, and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and schedule your workload will be required for success.

Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills are a must.
