Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Support Worker to assist an elderly married couple in their private residence. One participant is living with dementia, requiring attentive and knowledgeable care. The successful applicant must hold a minimum qualification of Enrolled Nurse (EN) to ensure appropriate clinical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respectful and dignified personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming).
  • Support with medication management as per care plan and clinical guidelines.
  • Assist with community access including appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Perform light domestic assistance including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with family and health professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Enrolled Nurse (EN) with current registration.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with dementia.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach to care.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a home care or aged care setting.
  • Understanding of the NDIS and aged care quality standards.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $39.00 – $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week

Licence/Certification:

  • enrolled nurse qualification (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
