Maintenance Planner – Short Term

  • $131,250 base + $25,000 location allowance + $12,000 residential allowance
  • Deliver weekly maintenance planning with exposure to shutdown/turnaround
  • Residential 4/3 roster – home every night

The Role
The Maintenance Planner – Short Term is responsible for delivering reliable weekly and short-term maintenance schedules to support safe, efficient operations at our Mount Isa operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role facilitates planning meetings, maintains planning KPIs, and supports the maintenance team with scheduling and breakdown activities. This role is residential, working a 4/3 roster, with the opportunity to be home every night.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules in SAP
  • Facilitate planning meetings and track maintenance KPIs
  • Support the maintenance team with planned and breakdown activities
  • Prepare costing and reporting to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with team leaders, contractors, engineering and production teams
  • Ensure safety, compliance and quality standards are met across all work

You will also have

  • A commitment to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling in SAP
  • Strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project desirable
  • Trade background (mechanical or electrical) beneficial but not essential

The Site – Mount Isa and Phosphate Hill
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
