Your Family OT is a mobile and clinic-based occupational therapy provider dedicated to supporting NDIS participants of all ages to achieve their personal goals. Our services empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives, offering comprehensive support tailored to each participant's unique needs. We specialize in delivering thorough assessments and reports, including Functional Capacity Assessments, Home and Living Assessments, Assistive Technology, and Complex Home Modifications. With over a decade of expertise in pediatric therapy, we create and deliver therapy plans for children, focusing on areas like school readiness, motor skills, and daily living skills. We are passionate about working with participants of all ages, offering life skills training, emotional regulation, and rehabilitation support for adolescents and adults with disabilities.
About Us
We're a small, but growing, NDIS practice based in Brisbane. We service suburbs from the Lockyer Valley through to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Presently, our team consists of:
- Katherine, our Director and Senior Occupational Therapist (10+ years experience across paediatrics, adults, mental health, medicolegal, and NDIS)
- Four Occupational Therapy Assistants, supporting ongoing therapy sessions.
- One Administration Assistant, helping our operations run smoothly
After nearly 18 months of steady growth and building strong community relationships, we're ready to welcome a Senior Occupational Therapist to our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Brisbane, QLD, with part-time arrangements available for the right candidate.
The Senior Occupational Therapist's responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments such as Functional Capacity and Home and Living Assessments
- Creating and delivering individualised intervention plans (including hands-on therapy to support capacity-building for NDIS participants)
- Working closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop practical strategies that promote independence and improve quality of life
- Work across a variety of settings including the clinic, homes, schools, community spaces, and even parks. We go wherever participants feel most comfortable
- Attend our Brisbane-based office regularly (minimum two days per week) for collaboration, support, and shared care
- Delegate appropriate tasks to and work collaboratively with Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapists and OTAs to ensure clinical quality and professional development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, referrers, and community partners
- Actively contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and the growth and stability of the Brisbane branch
- Reflect and collaborate with the team on service development, quality improvement, and new program initiatives
- Engage regularly in clinical supervision, team case reviews, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in supporting individuals in achieving physical, emotional, and functional goals
- Proven ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and deliver high-quality, client-centred therapy
- Experience in paediatrics, including developmental assessments and therapy for children and adolescents (or willingness to learn)
- Confidence in managing diverse caseloads and producing professional, evidence-based reports
- Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to supervise junior staff and support professional development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with clients, families, and allied health teams
- Current AHPRA registration and a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
- Familiarity with NDIS processes, systems, and reporting requirements (preferred)
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful, and strengths-based practice
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport for community-based work
