Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability (TAC) practice and Team Downer (which serves as one of the prime Major Service Providers (MSP) deliver consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs. 

This includes engagement with key areas across Defence including Defence Digital Group (DDG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and the Navy, Army, and Air Force. 

To support these consulting services and Integrated Work Packages we are continually seeking skilled Cyber & Network Security professionals to join our team.

If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:

• Designing, securing, and maintaining Defence network and communications systems
• Providing cyber assurance, system certification, and compliance against security frameworks
• Supporting tactical data link integration and interoperability across Defence platforms
• Implementing network solutions across strategic and tactical environments
• Enhancing infrastructure resilience and mitigating cyber threats in critical systems

Our work is highly complex and confidential, applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV2 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions individuals who are dual citizens, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR

We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the follow areas:

• Strong experience in Cyber & Network Security within Defence, government, or professional services.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Juniper, TOGAF, etc.)
• Experience with network design, cybersecurity frameworks 
• Understanding of secure systems architecture, security accreditation, and risk assessment
• Familiarity with tactical communications, SatCom, or secure data environments is highly regarded
