CoreStaff are seeking experienced and motivated Technicians to support a Pilot Field Recovery Trial 20 km out of Whyalla, South Australia.

This short-term DIDO opportunity offers hands-on experience within the mining and resources sector, contributing to a key study for a proposed uranium project. You'll join a small, dynamic operations team responsible for field sampling, plant operation, and process monitoring across both wellfield and pilot plant facilities.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Collecting and processing field and plant samples (leach solutions, groundwater, solids).
  • Operating and monitoring pumps, valves, and process circuits both manually and via SCADA.
  • Assisting with start-up, shutdown, and trial scenarios under technical guidance.
  • Conducting basic laboratory tests (pH, conductivity, elemental assays).
  • Recording data accurately and supporting troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Upholding strict safety, radiation, and environmental standards at all times.

About You:

We're seeking a practical, safety-focused technician who enjoys hands-on field work and working collaboratively in a small team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Certificate III/IV in Process Operations, Mineral Processing, or similar qualification.
  • 2+ years' experience in an industrial, chemical, or mineral processing environment.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and basic laboratory or sampling techniques.
  • Current Forklift (LF) and Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licences.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
  • Radiation safety training (or willingness to complete upon hire).

Work Details

  • Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off – rotating day and night shifts (12-hour shifts).
  • Location: Approx. 20 km from Whyalla
