Developer Programmer

Hello World We are looking for a Developer Programmer that loves writing clean, elegant and efficient code and has a creative edge.

This role is based in North Sydney.

You will be working with us on a large variety of projects for major brands, agencies, partners, start-up entrepreneurs and new product development across a range of segments including automotive, fin-tech and payments.

This role is working directly for us in an awesome team You will be a key player in the design process and team, and you will be working with the latest technologies in an agile environment.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Analyse and define the customer's creative and design requirements for the application;
  • Create wireframes and mock-ups;
  • Construct technical specifications and translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application;
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code for software applications to meet system designs and technical specifications by using best software development practices;
  • Perform analysis, design, development, unit testing and documentation for small-to-medium system implementations;
  • Deploy applications using Bamboo server;
  • Maintain and amend the code as required;
  • Code, test and debug user interfaces using Apache Wicket, JSP, Angular, TypeScript, SCSS, SQL;
  • Create, test, maintain and update software documentation and development standards;
  • Produce style guides;
  • Use Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to store application data/images;
  • Establish web/mobile UI and Javascript libraries for standard use;
  • Work in an Agile development environment and assist in facilitating and organising daily scrums/standups;

Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree + 2 years' experience, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Experience with Java/Angular;
  • Experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
  • Experience with Agile software development,
  • Experience with Jira;
  • Mac experience would be advantageous;
  • Creative, motivated and pro-active with strong initiative;
  • Excellent communication skills and team focused.

This is a full-time role and the salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 + super per year.
