The Role
Responsibilities
As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll provide expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, regulatory and operational matters. You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage legal risk across the business and support strategic transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on a wide range of legal matters including corporate governance, mining, employment, procurement, and compliance
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions, takeover activities and divestment transactions including conducting due diligence and preparing transaction documentation
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal agreements
  • Monitoring and assessing compliance with relevant legislation, ASX Listing Rules and regulatory developments
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote strong governance and risk management practices
  • Managing relationships with external legal advisors and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring alignment with the Company's Code of Conduct, policies, and safety standards
  • Assisting with company secretarial activities

About You
You Are a Commercially Astute And Strategically Minded Senior Legal Counsel With The Ability To Influence And Engage Meaningfully At All Levels. You Are Proactive And Solutions Focused, With a Calm And Pragmatic Approach. You Bring

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially sound legal advice in a dynamic business environment
  • Significant demonstrated experience, ideally across both private practice and in-house roles
  • Tertiary qualification in Law and admitted to practice in Western Australia
  • Strong working knowledge of the legal regime applicable to mining and exploration in Western Australia
  • Proven experience in M&A transactions, commercial negotiations, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience across corporate, commercial, employment, litigation and regulatory matters is desirable
