Unitech is a leading provider of Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) solutions to the SME & Corporate markets located in both Wollongong and Sydney and.With over 30 years in the industry, we are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Junior Systems Administrator to join our growing team of support professionals.Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this opportunity will expose the successful candidate to a wide range of products, services & skill sets utilised to deploy Information Technology solutions to a diverse range of clients & industries. This role is a mix of client site, remote technical & project work - supporting our Managed Service customers

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):I.T Project work with server infrastructure ,Azure , office 365 migration , Share point , Exchange online , Teams
Maintenance and support of Microsoft 365/Azure/Intune environments
Maintenance and support traditional on premises / Hybrid infrastructure
Provide on-site 'field' and remote network support services, including installations, diagnostics, repairing, maintaining & upgrades of servers and desktop systems
Provide Level 2 & 3 phone, e-mail & remote support services for any escalated Helpdesk ticketed issues
Maintenance and support for a wide range of ICT networks
Manage and install network project implementation services
Maintain existing Desktop and Server standard operating environment (SOE)
Ability to take ownership of given jobs, tasks and activities and ensure outcomes are resolved with a high level of customer service & satisfaction
Key Knowledge (include but not limited to):Understanding of outsourced & MSP style support systems
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 & Cloud-based deployments
Experience with Azure
Experience with VMware & Hyper-V environments
Experience with Remote Desktop environment
Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems
Experience with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP , PowerShell & group policy experience
Experience with firewall, routing, switching, VLAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN
Experience with IP Telephony
Proven experience in project planning, and delivery from start to finish
Desirable:Previous experience with MSP style businesses supporting the SMB markets
Exposure to Managed Services support systems or other RMM (ConnectWise / LabTech preferred)
Min 3 years past experience within the ICT industry
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail & time management skills
Microsoft certification
Essential:The ability to work under pressure, autonomously & in a team environment
Be professional, reliable, punctual, organised & well presented
Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills (fluent in English)
Must demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
Industry qualifications
High level of drive and integrity, take ownership of incidents and problems through to full resolution
Be part of an on-call after hours roster system
Must have a current Australian Driver's License & Car
Must be at least an Australian Permanent Resident with no restrictions
Package: salary package will depend on candidates' individual skills & experience and will incorporate all industry & legislative requirements.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
