The opportunity

Outrite Hire and Sales is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop 1st or 2nd year Plant Mechanic Apprentice or open to a Yard hand to join our team in Eastern Creek, NSW 2766. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the automotive trades industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of a variety of plant and equipment
  • Perform routine servicing and inspections on machinery
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Learn and develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced mechanics

What we're looking for

  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing mechanical skills
  • Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid driver's licence is desirable
