About the Role

We are seeking 6 experienced Modern Desktop Application Packager to join a dynamic team within a Victorian State Government department. This role is pivotal in ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable application delivery across the enterprise using Microsoft Intune and SCCM. You will be responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications, automating processes, and mentoring junior engineers in best practices.

Key Deliverables
  • End-to-end packaging and deployment of enterprise applications using Intune and SCCM, including MSI, EXE, and PowerShell-based formats.
  • Automation of deployment workflows and system configurations using PowerShell scripting.
  • Management of endpoint security and configuration policies including GPOs, BitLocker, and Windows Hello.
  • Execution of Windows updates, BIOS, and firmware rollouts, along with troubleshooting and post-deployment support.
  • Mentorship and technical guidance for junior engineers in packaging and deployment practices.
Skills & Experience
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for application packaging and deployment.
  • Proficiency in SCCM, InstallShield, AdminStudio, and Advanced Installer.
  • Strong understanding of modern workplace deployment strategies, including Intune app protection and compliance policies.
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting, automation, and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor within a collaborative team environment.
