ViriApsis owns the VR brands ApsisVR and ViriVR. We are embarking on a very ambitious cloud based VR project. What we are attempting to do most likely hasn't been done before.

We are looking for an individual with the following key skills

  • Deep expertise and knowledge in setting up high performing wireless networks for video and audio.
  • Strong experience in creating local area networks for multiple devices to communicate using video and bandwidth efficiently
  • Cloud based networking skills on Azure or AWS and with certification as a network engineer.
  • Experience in VR and especially setting up VR networks

Ideally we are looking for a freelance contractor or someone who is employed full time, but looking for casual work to earn extra income after work or during the weekends.

THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME OR PART TIME JOB.

We have a problem statement and if you get shortlisted due to your skills and experience then we will share the problem statement at the interview.

  • Proven experience in setting up wireless networks, devices and networks. Knowledge of configuring and setting Oculus VR devices will be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of networking, routing, DNS, and firewall policies in cloud and hybrid setups
  • Deep hands on experience of AWS networking or Azure networking is essential. Ideally certification in one of them.
  • Experience in setting up hybrid networks with cloud computing and wireless networks for devices to move between different networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless networks and infrastructure especially setting up a network ground up to use wireless access points with NBN etc
  • Implement network tools, processes and scripts to remotely manage our mobile wireless VR network as a location independent asset.
  • Ability to configure and automate network processes, devices that require minimum setup and maintenance time.
