Specimen Reception and Processing Assistant

We are seeking a a full time enthusiastic and detail-oriented Specimen Reception and Processing Assistant to join our busy Gold Coast Preanalytical Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and is committed to delivering accuracy and exceptional service 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Registering, entering, and processing specimens in our laboratory systems
• Unpacking, receipting, and distributing incoming specimens
• Packing, lifting, and carrying eskies
• Coordinating and delivering specimens to relevant laboratory departments
• Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Preparing and processing specimens prior to analysis, including centrifuging and aliquoting

• The ability to work effectively in a busy, multi-tasking environment
• A high level of commitment to accuracy, laboratory turnaround times, and customer service
• Comfort with manual handling and being on your feet for extended periods
• Availability to join a rotating roster with evening shifts finishing by 8pm
