About the Role
We are seeking an experienced OHS&E Manager to join our team, reporting to the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the OHS&E strategy at CCL Secure Australia and ensuring systems and procedures are in place, maintained and followed to provide a safe place of work for all CCL Secure employees.
What you will be doing
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the health and safety of all personnel by:
- Reviewing, maintaining and improving safety systems and procedures to drive a culture of safety within CCL Secure in accordance with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
- Reviewing and updating all risk assessments and ensuring they are available for all equipment, materials and processes
- Supporting the provision training for safe ways of working and best practice for handling hazardous materials
- Ensuring appropriate safety materials, tools and equipment are available where required and Management and Staff are aware of all relevant safety requirements
- Ensuring the site operates in accordance with all Legislative requirements, Australian standards, WorkSafe guidelines and codes of practice, EPA requirements, Workcover requirements and site/landlord requirements
- Ensuring regulatory training is conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Conducting site inspections/audits of compliance with the Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Driving improvements in environmental and sustainability functions to help our business achieve carbon neutrality
- Notifying the regulatory authorities of Notifiable-Incidents within the required regulatory time frame
- Submitting OHSE data/reports to CCL Industries within the required timeframe
Skills & Experience
The applicant should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Safety and Environment
- Minimum 5-8 years in safety positions
- Experience in Workcover/RTW and EPA reporting
- Experience working with hazardous materials
