Permanent Full-Time and 6-Month Full-Time Contract opportunities are available for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Allied Health Assistant Team at Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook, within Metro South Hospital and Health Service, supporting high-quality, patient-centred care in a dynamic hospital environment.
About This Role
Your new role:
As An Allied Health Assistant, You Will Contribute To Patient Care By Working Under The Supervision And Direction Of Allied Health Professionals, Supporting Both Clinical And Administrative Functions, Including
- Providing delegated individual and group patient interventions in line with defined scope of practice
- Assisting with treatment program preparation, implementation and reporting on patient progress
- Supporting patient mobility, personal care, manual handling and transport
- Setting up, monitoring, maintaining and transporting clinical equipment and therapy resources
- Contributing to accurate patient documentation and basic patient education
- Actively participating in the multidisciplinary team through communication, feedback and collaboration
About You
You will bring a patient-focused, team-oriented approach to your work, with the ability to support safe and effective care through:
- Demonstrated experience providing delegated patient interventions in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team
- A clear understanding of scope of practice and the ability to follow delegation and supervision models
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate and safe work
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is desirable but not mandatory.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
