You're the type of person who shows up on time, takes pride in your work, and gets the job done right the first time. With hands-on experience under your belt, you know your way around tools, machinery, and mechanical systems — this isn't your first rodeo.

You've got a solid grasp of industry standards and best practices, and you're confident working independently or as part of a crew. The Opportunity

We are seeking a competent, reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our expanding team, based in Naval Base, WA.

You will be required to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously completing assigned work scopes.

Your Skills and Qualifications

You would be expected to:

  • Be experienced with drilling reaming and bearing surface scraping.
  • Be experienced in alignment of drive shafts, bearings, pulleys, drive chains, gear boxes etc.
  • Read and interpret drawings of various detail.
  • Be willing to assist in apprentice training and supervision as required.
  • Be a confident tradesperson with a good understanding of industry requirements.
  • Have an excellent understanding of general machining practices

Essential:

  • Own transport and hold a current C Class WA driver's license.
  • A Relevant Trade Certificate
  • White card
  • EWP
  • Working at Heights
  • Forklift License
  • Pass site health and drug tests
  • Permanent Australian resident
