**About Us**

**The Opportunity**
Part of the integral maintenance team within BGC Cement, this role is responsible for the safe fabrication, repair and maintenance of fixed plant equipment.

Your typical day will include:

- Carrying out maintenance repairs and inspections on all fixed and mobile plant and machinery, diagnosing faults and breakdowns
- Preventative maintenance repairs and inspections on all plant and machinery as required, with a focus on preventing downtime; diagnosing faults, inspection and testing
- Structural welding and fabrication of parts and repairs to machinery
- Conducting daily pre-start checks and cleaning of all mobile equipment
- Liaising with Production team to ensure corrective and preventative maintenance is completed with minimum downtime
- Identifying and escalating opportunities and activities which improve plant equipment, reliability and efficiency
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices

**hat we’ll love about you**
- Relevant trade qualification along with post trade experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Stick, MIG and TIG welding experience
- Demonstrated understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Sound problem solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and work as part of a team
