CASUAL POSITION UNTIL THE END OF 2025

Overview

A casual fixed-term position is now available in Research Services.  The position would be at a HEW 4 level in the Research Analytics, Systems and Performance team.  The position would be suited to a current HDR candidate who is still undertaking their degree studies.

This position will be primarily responsible for the review of research outputs, specifically publications, submitted into the University's Research Activity System (RAS).  To be successful in this role you will have a high attention to detail and, preferably, experience with evaluating bibliographic information in order to ensure compliance with Government reporting specifications.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

The position will commence as soon as possible, in negotiation with the successful applicants.  As a casual position, work hours can be negotiated relative to your availability. The position will be until the end of The appointee will be expected to work in the office based on Joondalup campus.

Key Accountabilities

Undertake the review of research publications submitted in the University's Research Activity System to facilitate timely data capture of ECU's research outputs.  This role will also ensure compliance with Government specifications to ensure accurate data quality for reporting purposes.

Experience:

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tertiary level research environment

Technical Skills: Relevant experience in research data management and use of research information management systems.

Resolving Problems: Anticipating and resolving problems, being proactive to minimise issues and initiating action to deal with problems when they arise.

Efficiency in the Workplace: Working individually and with others within the work unit to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency using the available resources, while trying to minimise waste of resources and effort.

Communication Skills: The ability to organise and present information, views and concepts in a concise, understandable format for the organisations internal purposes relating to research output review.

Results Orientation and Accountability: Demonstrating initiative and commitment towards the completion of predetermined objectives, while focusing on an outcome which contributes to job and organisation success.
