Role Overview

The successful candidate will support engineers in testing, installing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems and equipment. This role is hands-on and requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and attention to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assist and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment
  • Conduct tests, record results, and prepare technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with Australian safety and quality standards
  • Provide technical support and liaise with engineers, clients, and contractors as required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field (Diploma/Certificate IV or higher)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, WHS practices, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable

  • 3 Years of Prior experience in energy (Solar) is desirable
  • Current electrical licence (if applicable but not mandatory)
