The Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (Jabalbina) administers native title rights, Aboriginal freehold land and Indigenous Land Use Agreements on behalf of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji People.

Jabalbina is seeking to recruit a person to support its operations with efficient and effective administrative assistance to ensure a smooth operation of its Land and Sea Ranger Division.

Your new Role

Based in the Mossman office, this support role is integral in supporting the daily operations of the Land and Sea Ranger Division with logistical, administrative, and engagement support that enables the smooth delivery of on-ground programs across Bubu (land) and Jalun (sea).

The focus of this role is on operational execution and resource coordination. The position helps ensure that field teams are well-resourced, activities are scheduled and supported efficiently, and that communication with internal teams, Traditional Owners, and stakeholders is timely and culturally respectful

Some of your duties include:

  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, toolbox briefings, and WHS debriefs
  • Assist in logistical coordination and planning
  • Support Coordinators by ensuring vehicles, gear, tools, and supplies are ready for scheduled work
  • Help coordinate site visits by Traditional Owners, community members, or partners
  • Prepare basic signage, flyers, maps, or cultural event materials
  • Support WHS systems

Essential requirements:

  • Driver's license
  • Blue Card
  • Relevant experience and qualifications in the administrative field
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to manage time and logistics
