Legacy WA
is a respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans. Through community programs, disability services and youth initiatives, we help families flourish.

We're seeking a
Grants Specialist
to drive our funding efforts and maximise income from government, philanthropic and corporate sources.

About the role

Reporting to the Marketing and Engagement Lead, this role is responsible for:

  • Researching and identifying new grant and funding opportunities
  • Preparing and submitting high-quality applications, proposals and acquittals
  • Maintaining and managing a grants calendar to meet deadlines
  • Tracking deliverables, outcomes and compliance for all agreements
  • Working with program staff to gather data, budgets and impact stories
  • Supporting the CEO and FEM with corporate partnership proposals
  • Ensuring recognition and reporting obligations for funders are met
  • Maintaining accurate grant records in the CRM
  • Conducting funder surveys and seeking feedback post-grant cycles
  • Contributing to fundraising campaigns and events when grant-related

About you

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fundraising, with proven success in grant writing and submissions
  • Strong donor, partner and funder relationship skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently
