Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a new Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project in Kwinana working Monday-Friday. This is a great opportunity for experienced Painter/Blaster to join our team This is your chance to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.

The Role
  • Mobilise and demobilising blasting hoppers/spray pumps and encapsulations
  • Abrasive blast, ranging from a whip class SA 3 on ferrous and nonferrous substrates using both garnet and steel abrasives 
  • Hand/Mechanical preparation of repair areas using orbital sanders and MBX's
  • Brush/Roll stripe coats as required.
  • Using mainly airless spray, apply up to 5 coats systems required DFT's/specifications
  • Application of; Inorganic zinc's, Epoxy zinc's, High build epoxies, Antifouls and Acrylic polyurethanes.
  • Remediate areas marked up by quality inspectors to meet the requirements of clients' specification.
  • Keep a safe and tidy work area and product storage room.
  • Perform other general duties if required.
About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • 3-5 years' experience with in industry
  • Airless spray and blastering expereince
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
