About the role

This part-time Factory Worker role (approx. 30hrs / week) at Select Kit Homes manufacturing facility in Loganholme, QLD offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing company that specialises in the production of steel frame kit homes using prefabricated steel frame walls and trusses. As a Factory Worker, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and processing of high-quality steel frames, contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting in the assembly of various prefabricated steel frame walls and trusses
  2. Performing quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required standards
  3. Operating machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  4. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  5. Carrying out basic labouring tasks (e.g. assisting with deliveries)
  6. Adhering to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly-based role, preferably in the construction or building materials industry (desirable but not essential - Full training will be provided)
  2. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  3. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  4. Good communication and problem-solving skills
  5. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
  6. Forklift or other relevant machine operating experience / licence would be an advantage but not essential
