Our client is expanding their maintenance team and is seeking multiple qualified Diesel Mechanics to support ongoing workshop operations. Due to significant demand, they require several mechanics, with immediate openings for two and further roles to follow.

You will be working with a skilled team—including apprentices—on a variety of heavy vehicles and mobile plant equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanics looking for stable hours, consistent overtime, and long-term career potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles and mobile plant
  • Conduct vehicle assessments and undertake road testing as required
  • Carry out maintenance on a range of diesel platforms (e.g., Freightliner, Scania, International)
  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks using Oxy-Acetylene, MIG, and TIG
  • Update service logs, maintenance records, and job documentation
  • Work collaboratively in a team-based workshop environment
  • Support workshop improvements across quality, safety, customer service, and efficiency
  • Undertake tasks as directed by workshop leadership

What You Bring

  • Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification (required)
  • Current Victorian HR Driver's Licence
  • Background in heavy vehicle and mobile plant maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic capability
  • Welding proficiency (Oxy-Acetylene, MIG, TIG)
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Strong reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail

Work Environment & Benefits

  • Day Shift: 7:30am – 3:30pm
  • Overtime available nightly and on Saturdays
  • Permanent staff typically earn $110k - $120k + Super with allowances and OT included
