Civmec are currently seeking Experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Construction division working on a 2:1 DIDO roster.

This is a great opportunity to join our team and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering both Civil and SMP packages on a long term project.

The Role
Conduct fault finding for breakdownsMaintain stock of hydraulic, mechanic, electronic and pneumatic materialsAssemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipmentComplete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machineryConduct marking and lining outConduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the taskMaintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe area. Lock them away or return to store when not requiredFollow quality control systems and techniquesHousekeepingPerform other general duties as required About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

Australian Recognised Trade CertificateNationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)Previous experience on construction projectsAbility to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screenHigh Risk Work Licence (EWP) – Preferred although not mandatory Civmec + You
