Okinja Early Learning Centre located at Alexandra Headland on the Sunshine Coast is seeking Assistant and Lead Educators.

Our service is privately owned and together, the owner, educators and management team are all focused on ensuring the Centre remains the leading early learning provider in the local community.

Our focus is on ensuring high standards of early education and care are delivered, by allowing children to cultivate their curiosity and explore the world around them.  Our Educational Program is delivered using an Inquiry Based Emergent Curriculum that involves loose parts and value of play theory.  With the influence of Reggio Emilia, our Program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests and strengths of the children through a self-guided Curriculum.

You must be a team player, honest and reliable.

Depending on your availability, we have a couple of positions ranging from 3-5 days per week.

What you must have:

  • Completed or working towards Certificate III in Children's Services;
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management;
  • Positive Working with Children Check (BlueCard);
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with children and their families about their learning progress;
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards;
  • Pedagogical knowledge and professional practice.
