Receptionist – Ninth Floor Selborne Chambers
Immediate Start
Ninth Floor Selborne Chambers is seeking a highly organised, professional, and personable Receptionist to join our administrative team on a full-time basis.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced individual with a background in reception or client service roles within a legal or corporate environment. You will be the first point of contact for clients, solicitors, and counsel, and play a central role in the smooth day-to-day running of Chambers.
Start date: Immediate
Applications considered on a rolling basis

Welcoming and assisting clients, solicitors, and counsel in a professional manner

Managing incoming telephone calls via a VOIP system and directing them appropriately
-
Coordinating the setup of conference rooms and electronic meetings
-
Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of reception, kitchen, and meeting spaces
-
Assisting with the preparation and service of refreshments when required
-
Monitoring and maintaining office supplies
-
Printing, scanning, and collating briefs (physical and electronic)

Providing administrative support to barristers and the Clerk as required
We are seeking someone who demonstrates:
-
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a reception or client service role, preferably in a professional services or legal environment

A courteous and professional phone manner and personal presentation
-
Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
-
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
-
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
-
A long-term interest in contributing to the success and stability of Chambers
Prior experience in a barristers' chambers will be well regarded but is not essential.
